Child Safety Standards

These standards apply to the OZVAK Android app and to ozvak.com, published on Google Play by [DEVELOPER NAME AS SHOWN ON GOOGLE PLAY]. OZVAK is for adults, 18 and over. This page says how we keep people under 18 off it, what we do the moment we learn one is on it, and who to write to.

What is prohibited, absolutely

Child sexual abuse and exploitation of any kind. That includes any sexual content involving a person under 18, real or generated; any solicitation of a minor; any grooming, sextortion or trafficking behaviour; and any attempt by a person under 18 to use OZVAK. This is a permanent rule with no appeal, and it is also a crime under India's Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and section 67B of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

How we keep people under 18 off OZVAK

• Date of birth, before any profile exists. A date under 18 stops the flow. No profile is created and no other member can ever see the account.
• A persisted lock on the address. The address that entered an under-18 date is locked, by a one-way hashed value, for 365 days. Deleting and starting again with the same address does not clear it: a new account on that address is locked from its first second, before it can do anything.
• A record of the adult confirmation every member gave, with the exact wording, the time and the build, so that what a member was shown can be produced.
• Signals after sign-up. A stated age that conflicts with other signals takes photo and reveal off the account until a person has looked. A report from any member that someone is under 18 is treated as urgent.
• Nothing on OZVAK is described as age-checked, because a date of birth and a confirmation are not a check. Stronger age assurance is being decided before 13 May 2027.

How to report a concern

In the app: from any Current, Intro, Room or photo, choose Report and pick “Under 18”. It goes to the front of the queue. The person reported is not told who reported them.

From anywhere, with or without an account: write to safety@[LEGAL DOMAIN]. Do not attach the material. Describe where it is.

What happens when a minor is found or reasonably suspected

• The account is removed from every surface on suspicion, at once, and is not deleted.
• Every Room it was in is preserved in a sealed store, both sides, so that nothing can be lost or altered.
• Nobody at OZVAK opens the material to look at it. If sexual content involving a minor may exist, viewing it is itself possession. Decisions are made on the surrounding records. The one override is a reasonable belief that a child is in immediate danger, in which case the minimum is opened and the opening is logged.
• Nothing is downloaded, forwarded, screenshotted or attached to anything.
• It is reported to the authorities, and not deferred to a convenient hour. Indian law obliges any person with knowledge of a sexual offence against a child to report it.
• Every adult who had a Room with the account is told, in one line, without detail.
• The address is locked as described above. The records are kept for the authorities and are never erased on a schedule.

Compliance with law

OZVAK complies with India's Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, the Information Technology Act, 2000 including section 67B, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 including section 9, and with the child safety requirements of Google Play. We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and preserve evidence on request.
